Director, Translational Sciences
3-V Biosciences is looking for a highly motivated, innovative scientist who will lead our efforts in characterizing novel host targeted antiviral compounds in model systems and early stage clinical trials. By applying expertise in cell biology, pharmacology and host pathogen interactions, this scientist will have the opportunity to develop innovative antiviral therapies targeting serious human diseases. This leader will work closely with other entrepreneurs at 3-V to identify novel host targets and develop innovative, safe and effective drugs to treat infectious diseases.
Requirements
- Design and execute studies to characterize the tolerability of drug candidate molecules in model systems
- Design and execute studies to investigate the pharmacology of drug candidate molecules
- Design and execute studies to identify and develop biomarkers for use in early stage clinical trials
- Capable of working with a wide array of different viruses, cell types and in vivo models
- Excellent alliance management skills to facilitate work with CROs to execute vivo studies characterizing the response to host factor antivirals
- A PhD and/or MD/DVM with 6-10 years experience in the biotechnology industry and a minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Translational sciences
- Pharmacology
- Physiology
- Animal models
- Skills / experience needed
- Management
- Drug development
- Project leadership
- Strong presentation skills

- Demonstrated knowledge of host pathogen interactions
- Capable of working with a wide array of different viruses, cell types and in vivo models
- Excellent alliance management skills to facilitate work with CROs to execute vivo studies evaluating the impact of host factor antivirals on infection and disease
- A PhD and/or MD/DVM with 6-10 years experience in the biotechnology industry and a minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
